What to do with Degraded Hardwood Stands: Assessment, Potential Treatments, and Management Tradeoffs

Degraded or low quality hardwood stands are often a result of repeatedly harvesting the largest and best trees and leaving smaller, inferior trees. This workshop will summarize management techniques for managing and regenerating hardwood stands, as well as retaining oak trees and managing upland hardwoods for wildlife. The afternoon portion will include demonstrations at nearby research sites.
